More value from every round

Digital scoring, a ready-made venue page and promotions, for mini and crazy golf courses.

A course owner in a navy polo shirt stands by the entrance kiosk with a tablet, families playing on the course behind him

Five ways it pays

  1. A kiosk counter with a tin of stubby pencils, a stack of blank paper scorecards and coloured balls, and a phone beside them showing the winner of a round£800a year per course

    Save on stationery

No more printed scorecards and pencils to buy, replace and keep stocked at the kiosk. The score goes on the players’ own phones instead.

On average, that is about £800 a year saved on each course.

  2. A mum and her daughter on the sofa looking at a laptop, the daughter pointing at the screen

    A ready-made venue page

Your venue gets its own page on CrazyGolfScores: your courses, your photographs, prices and opening times, and how to find you. Families planning a day out find you on the map and in the list.

Nothing to build, host or keep running. See an example venue page.

  3. Four teenagers gather round one phone by the hole, one groaning with his hand on his forehead while the others laugh

    More engaged customers

Groups follow the game hole by hole on their phones: who is winning, by how much, and who needs a miracle on the last hole. At the end the card names the winner and they can share the result.

  4. Grandparents back with their grandchildren show a phone to a smiling member of staff at the kiosk window

    More customers through promotions

A venue promotion shows on your listing and your venue page, to bring people in. Offers for registered players, such as half price on the next visit, give them a reason to come back.

  5. A family enjoys ice creams, a milkshake and a coffee at a picnic table beside the course, their putters leaning on the table

    More spend from every customer

A course promotion appears while people are scoring, from halfway round: an ice cream, a drink or something from the café. Staff scan the player’s code at the counter and it goes through your till as it does now.

A sign, a scan, and they’re scoring

  • Each venue and course has its own QR code

A sign at the entrance, and a card where people pay, invite players to go digital.

  • A web app, so nothing to download

Players open it in their phone's browser. There is no app to find and install, and no big download over a weak signal.

  • No sign-up to play

Nothing stands between a group and the first hole. Players are asked to sign up only to keep their cards and your offers.

  • Simple for your team

Staff log in on their own phone and scan a player's code to take an offer. Nothing new to learn at the till.

  • A wooden A-board at a course entrance with a Scan the code sign and a QR code, as a family walks in
    A sign at the entrance
  • A Scan the code card with a QR code in a clear stand on the kiosk counter, beside the card reader and a tub of golf balls
    A card where people pay
  • Two members of staff set out putters and balls outside the kiosk early in the morning, chatting and laughing

Promoted placement

Greater prominence within relevant website listings and search, and more opportunities to be seen as the website audience grows.

It goes with any level, and is separate from promotions.

Promotions that bring them back

Two examples of what a venue might run. You choose the offers and their terms: one venue promotion at a time, and one course promotion at a time on each course.

What owners ask

  • What is CrazyGolfScores for a venue?

Digital scoring for mini and crazy golf, a venue page on the CrazyGolfScores website, and promotions that bring players in, keep them spending while they play and give them a reason to come back. It is built for this industry, not a general scoring app.

  • What are the levels?

Listed: your venue on the map and in the list, with its phone number, email, website and opening times, and courses, holes and pars you can correct yourself.

Scoring: everything in Listed, plus your description, photographs and prices, a place above courses nobody has claimed, and QR codes that take players straight to scoring.

Marketing: everything in Scoring, plus a venue promotion, course promotions while people play, and your numbers for each one.

Promoted placement is an add-on: greater prominence in the website’s listings and search.

  • How many promotions can we run?

One venue promotion at a time, which shows on your listing and your venue page to bring people in.

And one course promotion at a time on each course, which players see while they are scoring, from halfway round. One promotion can cover several courses. Both are for registered players.

  • What does it cost?

A low monthly fee. Pricing is agreed with each venue.

  • Do we need developers, hosting or a website?

No. There are no developers, web hosting, databases or domain names to sort out. You put the QR code up at the entrance and where people pay.

  • Do our players have to sign up?

No. Nobody needs an account to play. Players are asked to sign up only to keep their cards and your offers.

  • How do staff take an offer?

Staff log in on their own phone, scan the player’s code and tap the offer being used. The discount goes through your till as it does now. Staff see your venue’s offers, never the player’s details.

  • Who looks after GDPR?

We do. You will not see individuals’ data: we are the processors and controllers of it.

  • Our venue is already on the map. How do we claim it?

Open your listing and choose “Is this your course?” at the foot of the page, or go straight to the claim form.

  • How do we get started?

Write to registration@crazygolfscores.com. The first step is a scoring demonstration, then a pilot at your venue.
